EHLP PLAYOFFS

2018-19 PLAYOFF FORMAT

At the end of the regular season, a total of 10 teams will advance to the playoffs. This year's teams are broken up into two separate conferences, the New England Conference (NEW) and the Mid-Atlantic Conference (ATL). Within each conference there are six teams, and in total, five teams per conference will advance to the postseason.

PLAY-IN GAME (FIRST ROUND)

With the 6th place team eliminated in each conference, the #4 and #5 seeds will face-off for the right to advance to the Second Round of the EHLP Playoffs. The #4 and #5 matchup is a single elimination playoff game at the home venue of the #4 seed.

New England Conference

New Jersey Renegades vs. #5 Central Penn Panthers

***The First Round can be played as early as March 4th, and must be completed by March 7th.***

CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS (SECOND ROUND)

Prior to the start of the Second Round, the remaining four teams within each respective conference will be reseeded based off of the conference standings. All Second Round matchups will be best-of-three series with the higher seed at home for games #1 and #2, and the lower seed home for game #3 if it is necessary. Also per the EHL Operating Rules, the higher will host every game of the series if the distance between the teams is 125 miles or greater.

#2 New England Wolves vs. #3 Connecticut Chiefs

Mid-Atlantic Conference

Philadelphia Little Flyers vs. #4 New Jersey Renegades
#2 Philadelphia Revolution vs. #3 New Jersey 87s

***The Second Round will start on March 8th, and all series must be completed by March 13th.***

CONFERENCE FINALS (THIRD ROUND)

At the conclusion of the conference semi-finals, two teams will remain in each respective conference. Prior to the start of the Conference Finals, the remaining two teams within each respective conference will be reseeded based off of the conference standings. All Third Round matchups will be best-of-three series with the higher seed at home for games #1 and #2, and the lower seed home for game #3 if it is necessary. Also per the EHL Operating Rules, the higher will host every game of the series if the distance between the teams is 125 miles or greater.

EHLP CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Just like last season, the final two teams will face-off in the EHLP Championship Game at Schneider Arena on the campus of Providence College. The game will take place at 10:00am on Sunday, March 24th, and this past season, the Boston Jr. Rangers fought their way back to beat the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers by the score of 4-3.
