BOSTON, MA -- Now in its 4th season, the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) continues to establish itself as a solid stepping stone to help players get to the next level. To date, over 50 players have gone from the EHLP, to the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), and on to NCAA hockey. A prime example of a player who climbed the ladder is Blake Harlow of the New England Wolves.
Harlow spent a year in the EHLP (2016-17), a year in the EHL (2017-18), and now in the 2018-19 season, he's a freshman at UMass Dartmouth. Harlow showed very clear signs of growth and development by tallying 35 points in the EHLP, and then 46 points in the EHL. For many players the jump isn't easy, but for Harlow, he has made a flawless transition with every step that he's climbed.
Now competing at the Division III level, Harlow was recently named the Rookie of the Week in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC), after scoring his first collegiate goal against Stonehill College.
Keep tabs on the EHLP website as we continue to provide updates on alumni throughout the season. The next set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Week will be released on Monday, December 17th at 4:00pm. Remember to catch the #Eshow all season long on HockeyTV.
