September: Scott -- McAllister -- Carbo

BOSTON, MA -- We've officially reached month #2 of the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) season. The 1st month of the year brought with it plenty of great action, and numerous candidates for the first set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Month.

The EHLP is pleased to announce that Kyle Scott (Philadelphia Little Flyers), Max McAllister (Philadelphia Little Flyers), and Connor Carbo (Vermont Lumberjacks) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Month for September.

The Stars of the Month will all receive a $20 TSR Hockey gift certificate.

Scroll down to read about each player's hot start to the season, and remember to catch the EHLP action all year long on HockeyTV.

Scott finished the month of September as the leading scorer in the EHLP, with 21 points in 7 games for the Little Flyers. Scott has been the offensive catalyst for his team so far this season, as he currently owns a 2.75 points per game average. That average is identical to that of Alex Ochterbeck's, a forward for the Little Flyers' EHL team, who was also named a TSR Hockey Star of the Month for his respective division. Scott will look to stay hot as the calendar turns to October, and Philadelphia hits the ice for 8 more games this month.

While Scott led the way up front for the Little Flyers, McAllister followed suit for Philadelphia on the blue line. The young defenseman racked up 3 goals and 4 assists during the 7 games in September, and is already off to a great start in October. McAllister added a goal and an assist to his stats on Sunday, and will look to extend his point streak to 3 games when the Little Flyers host the Valley Jr. Warriors this weekend. Philadelphia only has 1 game on the schedule this weekend, as the team preps for the upcoming showcase, October 14th through 16th at Brewster Ice Arena (New York).

There were a number of goalies that shined in September, but Carbo shined the brightest for the Lumberjacks. Back for his 2nd season in the EHLP, Carbo started and won 3 games this past month. Also, add in a win in relief for young netminder, and that brings his record up to a perfect 4-0-0 for September. Carbo stopped 121 of the 124 shots he faced, which gives him a stellar 0.81 GAA for the opening month. He's already won his first start in October, and will look to keep rolling this weekend as the Lumberjacks welcome the New York Applecore to town on Saturday.
