EHLP 3 STARS OF THE WEEK (CROMWELL SHOWCASE)

Levasseur, Grealish, and Leberknight Named 3 Stars of the Week

BOSTON, MA -- It's officially holiday season, and time for a short break in the EHLP schedule. The EHLP division has a pair of games scheduled for next week, and then the regular season begins to pick up again starting on January 4th. This past weekend featured our 2nd showcase of the season in the EHLP Division, and the perfect ending to the first half of the schedule.

We're pleased to announce that Maxim Levasseur (New England Wolves), John Grealish (Boston Jr. Rangers), and Owen Leberknight (New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs) have been named the EHLP Stars of the Week.

Also, this week's EHLP Team of the Week is the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs, with Honorable Mentions going out to the Vermont Lumberjacks, Walpole Express, Boston Jr. Rangers, and New England Wolves.

Maxim Levasseur

Levasseur and the Wolves swept their weekend set of games in Cromwell, improving their overall record to 13-9-3 (29 points) for the season. The Wolves are currently in 6th place in the North Conference, with seeds #4 through #8 separated by just five points.

  • Saturday, December 17th ::: Wolves 3 - Jr. Flyers 2 ::: (0g, 1a, 1p)
  • Sunday, December 18th ::: Wolves 7 - Revolution 3 ::: (1g, 2a, 3p)

Levasseur's four-point weekend stretches his points streak to six games, and he's also tallied at least a point in 12 of his last 14 contests. The '98 forward from Quebec is currently ranked 5th on the team in scoring. and he'll look to stay hot when the Wolves return to take on the Northern Cyclones (January 7th), and Walpole Express (January 8th).

John Grealish

Grealish and the Rangers won both of their games at the Cromwell Showcase, moving their overall record up to 13-7-4 (30 points) for the season. Just like Levasseur and the New England Wolves, Grealish and the Rangers are right in the thick of things in the North Conference, and as of today, the Rangers currently own the 5th spot in the standings.

  • Saturday, December 17th ::: Rangers 2 - Bulldogs 1 ::: (2g, 0a, 2p)
  • Sunday, December 18th ::: Rangers 7 - Applecore 0  ::: (1g, 1a, 2p)

Grealish's four-point weekend included both goals in the Rangers win over the Brewster Bulldogs on Saturday. The '98 forward from California is currently 3rd on the team in scoring with 18 points in 24 games so far this season. Grealish will look to pick up where he left off when the Rangers return from break to face-off with the Hartford Jr. Wolfpack on January 7th at Wesleyan University.

Owen Leberknight

Leberknight and the Monarchs cruised through their two games this past weekend, outscoring their opponents 19-0 at the Cromwell Showcase. The Monarchs overall record is now 18-4-2 (38 points) for the season. New Hampshire is in sole possession of 2nd place in the North Conference, seven points back over the Vermont Lumberjacks with three games in hand.

  • Sunday, December 18th ::: Monarchs 13 - Rockets 0  ::: (3g, 3a, 6p)

Leberknight's seven-point weekend gives 26 total points for the season, which ranks him in a tie for 3rd on the team. The '98 forward from South Dakota will look to pick up where he left off when the Monarchs return from break for seven games in the month of January. The schedule works in favor of New Hampshire, with six of the seven games taking place at Tri-Town Ice Arena. 

EHLP Team of the Week

This week's EHLP Team of the Week is the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs.

New Hampshire rolled through their two games this past weekend, outscoring their opponents 19-0 at the Cromwell Showcase. The Monarchs overall record is now 18-4-2 (38 points) for the season. New Hampshire is in sole possession of 2nd place in the North Conference, seven points back over the Vermont Lumberjacks with three games in hand.

  • Saturday, December 17th ::: Monarchs 6 - Rebels 0
  • Sunday, December 18th ::: Monarchs 13 - Rockets 0

After starting the season 2-3-1, New Hampshire has won 16 of their last 18 games. Their only losses during the stretch have each been decided by a single goal, with one of the games ending in overtime. The schedule works in favor of Monarchs, with six of the seven January games taking place at Tri-Town Ice Arena.

EHLP Honorable Mention

This week's EHLP Honorable Mentions are going out to the Vermont Lumberjacks, Walpole Express, Boston Jr. Rangers, and New England Wolves. Just like New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs, all four of these teams swept their pair of games at the Cromwell Showcase.

The North Conference definitely controlled the play this past weekend, and it was very evident on Saturday when the North beat the South in every game on the schedule.
