Little Flyers and 87s Begin Series Tonight at 7:45pm

ASTON, PA -- We're down to just the final four teams in the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP), and the Mid-Atlantic Conference matchup between the Philadelphia Little Flyers and the New Jersey 87s is set to begin tonight at 7:45pm.

During the regular season, these two teams faced-off a total of the six times:

As you can see, every matchup was tight, with four games being decided by just a single goal, and only one game stretching further than a two-goal margin.

Each team took care of business in the Second Round, by completing sweeps of their respective opponents. It's safe to say that the 87s won a more high-scoring series, while the Little Flyers advanced in more of a defensive showdown.

Ahead of game #1 tonight, we are going to highlight one player from each team to watch in the Mid-Atlantic Conference Finals.

Graham Burke is the anchor between the pipes for the Little Flyers, and he proved that with the 73 total saves he made in the First Round against the New Jersey Renegades. The '01 native of Baton Rouge, LA is a candidate for this year's Goaltender of the Year award in the EHLP, and he's a big season why Philadelphia won by scores of 3-1 and 2-1 in the First Round. In the Regular season, Burke compiled an overall record of 20-5-2 to go along with a 2.40 GAA, a .921 save percentage, and 3 shutouts.

As for the 87s, their player to watch is Tom Swartwout. In the First Round matchup against the Philadelphia Revolution, the '01 native of Brick, NJ scored a pair of goals in game #1 and then tallied a hat-trick in game #2. Overall, Swartwout has 37 goals and 21 assists in 43 total games to date, and that includes 10 goals in his last five contests.

Below you'll find the schedule for the three-game series, and be sure to watch each game live on HockeyTV.
